Dallas Reception Selection – Studios 1019

Today’s Reception Selection is Studios 1019 located near I-35 and Wycliff, just north of downtown Dallas. Located in what is pretty much a warehouse area, Studios 1019 is way more than just a warehouse. Part home to former New York photographer Lynn Sugarman, part photo studio and part event venue, Studios 1019 is a space for someone who wants an out of the ordinary event space. It’s sleek front entrance hints to the modern space hidden inside.

The front entry separates off the private residence from the rest of the event venue and photography studio, while showcasing tall ceilings and unique textures.

The centerpiece to Studios 1019 is its unique atrium. I absolutely adore this bright open space. A little piece of the great outdoors in air conditioned comfort!

The event space is truly a blank canvas, but unlike the white space of 129 Leslie, Studios 1019 does not come with round tables or Chiavari chairs. Everything needs to be brought in, making the space a more expensive option. With a little imagination, however, Studios 1019 can be whatever you want it to be – take it from the likes of Versace who used the space to celebrate the opening of their Northpark store in 2009.

For brides and grooms and makeup artists alike, the behind the scenes spaces of the venue are perfect. The space is decked out with a hair and makeup area as well as a room perfect for a bridal party.

For couples looking for a space that is a little bit different from the standard hotel ballroom and who have a little imagination (or great vendors), Studios 1019 is definitely worth checking out. The atrium alone is enough to make me want to have an event here!
