Staff Spotlight – Kimberly!

Meet Kimberly – Owner and Principal Event Planner for Hitched Events. You can read Kimberly’s full bio on our website, but we thought we’d have her answer 12 fun questions here so that you can get to know her a little better, and we can show off some of her beautiful headshots by Shannon Skloss Photography!

What’s the last thing you watched on TV? Most likely something on Bravo! Real Housewives of Pick-Any-City and Below Deck are some of my faves.

What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume alone? I used to be a dance instructor, choreographer, and professional dancer. It seems like a lifetime ago, but I still have a love for all things dance.

What do you do to get rid of stress? Massages are my favorite thing to relax. If I had the money (and time) to do one a week, I totally would! And not just an hour massage… 90-minutes is where it’s at!

What is something you are obsessed with? The HauteLook app by Nordstrom Rack. I do almost all of my shopping online, and it’s an awesome app for finding deals on great brands. Plus, you can make returns directly to a Nordstrom Rack store.

What’s your favorite way to waste time? Did I mention Bravo? Reality television is totally my biggest time waster. I think it’s nice to have some mindless entertainment every now and then.

Do you have any pets? What are their names? A 70-lb German Shorthaired Pointer named Deacon. He’s my child!

If you had intro music, what song would it be? Why? “Run the World (Girls)” by Beyonce. I mean… is there any bigger girl boss than Beyonce?!?

Who in your life brings you the most joy? My husband, Clint! We’ve been married for 7 years and together for more than 10, and he’s without a doubt my best friend. He makes me laugh constantly.

Who had the biggest impact on the person you have become? Definitely my mom. She is hardworking, dedicated, and to be quite honest, a bit of a workaholic… characteristics I definitely inherited!

What’s your favorite season? Why? Definitely fall. I love when the weather is cool but not cold, plus I love fall fashion. Tall boots with jeans make me happy.

What do you bring with you everywhere you go? My phone. That’s a lame answer, but it’s true.

If you could plan your wedding again, what’s one thing you would do differently? I would have hired a professional videographer.

Coming Soon – Mr. and Mrs. Reinhardt!

We’re so excited to introduce you to Morgan and Andrew! Morgan and Andrew were high school sweethearts that maintained a long-distance relationship throughout college. But instead of us telling their tale, why don’t we let the bride tell you herself…

“Andrew and I met sophomore year of high school in chemistry class. We had mutual friends in the class and met through them. Eventually we fell into the same friend group and our relationship grew from there.

We did long distance throughout undergrad and when I was home for Thanksgiving break during my senior year he proposed. I knew he would be proposing soon, but I didn’t think it would happen the way it did. We went out early in the morning to play soccer, which was pretty common for us because I played soccer throughout high school while we were dating. It was around 8:30 in the morning in late November, it was cold and windy, and I had just woken up ten minutes beforehand and threw on some sweats. It’s not at all how I imagined him proposing, but it was just so sweet and casual and genuine that it made the whole thing absolutely perfect.”

We’re so excited to work with Bella Acento, A Stylish Soiree, Lyncca Harvey Photography, Dallas Wedding Videography and DFW Parties to celebrate their ceremony and reception this weekend at Brake & Clutch Warehouse. Here’s a few engagement pictures taken at The Dallas Arboretum by Morgan’s aunt, Terri Cage Photography, as a wedding gift to the couple!

Fun fact: we also coordinated Morgan’s sister’s wedding this past January and are so honored to get to be a part of both of their special days!

NFL Players Association Trust Luncheon

I’m not sure if any of you happened to hear about this in the media, but Dallas hosted the NFL Draft last month! Hitched Events was honored to help design and setup a luncheon for The Trust, on behalf of the NFL Players Association, during the week of the draft. We wanted to share some of the images from this fun event – including a red carpet entrance and a barber setup for the guests to freshen up! Here are a few photos we were able to snap during setup for the event…

It was so fun working at the Omni Frisco Hotel to put together this luncheon. Thanks so much to Freesia Dallas, Shag Carpet Prop Rentals, La Tavola Fine Linen, AFR Furniture Rental, Adante Mayo with LeForce Entertainment, and Sourced Craft Cocktails for their hard work on this event!
