Take It From Me: Decisions & The Groom’s Suit

Hitched Events bride Chelsea Smith had a picture perfect wedding day at the Trinity River Audubon Center. But that doesn’t mean she didn’t learn a few things along the way! Today, Chelsea is sharing a few of her best wedding planning tips with us, from her own experience.

Take it from me: Make a decision and move forward. Don’t second guess yourself or overthink a decision you’ve made. You will waste your own time and spin yourself in circles!

Take it from me: Have the groom’s attire ready early. Schedule an additional fitting, at least 3-4 days before the actual event, so you can make changes or tweaks if necessary. We got caught in a situation where the pants had pleats and weren’t supposed to, but there wasn’t enough time to get the right pants in.

My even-better recommendation…If you have time and it suits the groom’s style, have him treat himself to a new suit (or tux) for the big day. It can be custom made for him and fitted just like your dress. And he can feel just as stellar and special as you do!

What great insight! The importance of being able to make a decision is a topic we will definitely dive into deeper here on the blog. Doesn’t there always seem to be a hitch in the plans when it comes to the groom and groomsmen’s attire? I love the idea of having a custom suit made for him and building extra time into the attire timeline (custom or not!) Thanks Chelsea!
