30 Days of Thankful – Dallas Wedding Music

Yesterday, I posted about one of the cake vendors I’m thankful for, and today I’m talking about music. What most people don’t know about me is that I have a tiny bit of a musical background. I certainly would not call myself a musician by any means, but I did play the cello for 7 years (although I wasn’t all that great, to be perfectly honest), dabbled with the harp when I was in junior high school, and was in choir throughout junior high and high school, and even performed in musicals in college. While I’m certainly no Vivaldi, I definitely know quality musicians when I hear them.

One group of musicians I’m incredibly thankful for is Dallas Wedding Music. Dallas Wedding Music is staffed with the best of the best musicians, boasting training from Boston’s New England Conservatory, Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and the Moscow Conservatory in Russia, among others. While other musical groups in town may have students or other less experienced musicians on their roster, all the musicians at Dallas Wedding Music have impressive resumes, with many of them performing regularly with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the Dallas Opera, or having toured with musicians such as Diana Ross, Andrea Bocelli, Harry Connick Jr., and K.D. Lang.

Because the musicians are of such a high caliber, they can pull off more difficult or even non-traditional pieces of music. We had one bride who wanted to walk down the aisle to a string quartet performing “What a Wonderful World” and recess to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing,” and Dallas Wedding Music knocked it out of the park! Later this month, we have a bride that is incorporating a Regina Spektor song into her recessional. Dallas Wedding Music has arranged the song for a quartet, making it a truly unique and memorable part of our client’s wedding. I can’t wait for it all to come together!

We are incredibly thankful for Dallas Wedding Music! Not only is the group of musicians truly talented, but they are a vendor that is at the top of our list for being just plain easy, nice, and fun to work with.
