Our New York City Office

I’m taking a little break from Dallas and working from the Hitched Events New York City regional office this week. Oh, you didn’t know we had a New York division? Let me show you….

Yep. Starbucks on the Upper West Side!

That’s one of the great things about being a small business owner. With my laptop and cell phone in tow (and a few client files), I can work from almost anywhere. I’ve taken a some time off earlier in the week to visit with some of my NYC friends, get my hair done in the Bronx (for way cheaper than I can get it done in Dallas), get my eyebrows threaded for $8 (are there even places to get your brows threaded in Dallas? For $8?!) and to celebrate my wedding anniversary with the hubs (one year… woo hoo!). But today it’s back to work. And I have to say, I’m really diggin’ my regional office! It’s a nice change of pace from my home office and the mini apple pie is delicious!

I took a break from work today to have lunch with some friends and former colleagues, and one of them asked if Hitched Events would be doing events in cities other than Dallas and Fort Worth, which (of course) got me thinking. I mean, I’ve planned plenty of events long distance. When I was planning corporate events in Dallas, I planned events in other cities. And when I was living in New York City, I was planning events long distance – Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, London, to name a few. I even planned my own Dallas wedding long distance, for Pete’s sake! So, why not?! I’d love to have Hitched Events divisions in other major cities, so I’m adding that to the list of my long-term goals for the business. It never hurts to dream big, right?!

So, other than Dallas and New York, where should our future offices be?
