Dallas Reception Selection – The W Hotel

Today’s Dallas reception selection is The W Hotel, located in Victory Park near the American Airlines Center. I absolutely love the W, and I’m super pumped to be working on a wedding there this spring. Its modern design elements are right up my alley, and it definitely caters to a bride that is looking for a more contemporary venue for their reception. Old World, historical Dallas hotel it is not.

As soon as you walk into the W, you pretty much feel instantly cool. (Well… at least I do.) It has an undeniably trendy vibe, and with rumors that Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are making the condos at the W their home, it MUST be cool, right? Uh…. well. Moving right along.

The event spaces at the W Dallas – Victory (as it’s officially called) are located on the second floor, just off the main staircase from the lobby. I mean, how gorgeous is this?

With room in the largest ballroom to fit 250 people, the W is great for brides with a slightly larger than average guest list. Brides who love Hotel Zaza’s contemporary style but have outgrown its small ballroom might find the W to be a perfect match.

I know it’s silly, but I’m a sucker for a great ballroom chair. So many hotels have ballroom chairs that are hideous (peach and gold flowers, anyone?) and really need to be covered or replaced all together with a rental chair so as not to ruin the overall event decor, so when a hotel has a standard ballroom chair that I like, I’m a huge fan. The standard ballroom chairs at the W are modern and sleek — a simple black leather chair that pretty much goes with any modern decor. Easy, peasy.

If you are looking for a reception feel that’s more modern and edgy than classic and traditional, definitely check out W Dallas – Victory. Your reception will definitely have that “wow” factor! I will definitely post some pictures of the wedding I’m working on this spring at the W once it’s all said and done. It is going to be a beautiful wedding!!!
