One week from today is the Pink Pride Brides bridal fashion show. So… what is it exactly? It’s a two-hour event (7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18) where brides, wedding vendors and anyone who simply wants to support an important cause gather for beer and wine and hors d’oeuvres and to see a bridal fashion show of the latest wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses and accessories. Sounds great, right? And what’s even better is that the small ($10) entry fee supports The Bridge Breast Network, a local not-for-profit organization that links uninsured and underinsured women in the North Texas area with treatment and diagnostic services for breast cancer.
Nearly 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer at some point in their lives. If you don’t already know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, chances are, you will at some point. These staggering statistics are what made me want to get involved and the bridal fashion show is just one small way we can bring awareness about breast cancer to young women as they prepare for their big day.
I hope you will join me on Tuesday, October 18 at the Pink Pride Brides fashion show event. Your $10 entry fee will benefit The Bridge Breast Network. Register today!
