It was a hugely successful weekend for Hitched Events as we coordinated a 51st birthday celebration for a Dallas client. I have to say, if I can party half as hard as these folks when I turn 51, life will be good. Between the DJ, mariachis, belly dancer and cigar roller, there was no way these guests weren’t going to be entertained, but before the party could get started, our mission was to spice up the space a bit and get it prepped for the party. Now, let me just say that the client’s home is absolutely gorgeous so it wasn’t like we needed to do a complete overhaul, but it definitely needed to feel like a special occasion. With all the guests instructed to wear white for the evening, we limited our floral choices to whites and greenery and used floating candles throughout the space to tie into the white theme.
When guests first enter the home, they see this front seating area with a mantle almost nine feet long. Since this is a main focal point of the home (not to mention is a great space for décor), we knew that a lot of attention needed to go to this area.

The folks at Mockingbird Lane Florist rocked it out with an amazing floral creation that instantly warms the space:

The breakfast area simply needed a centerpiece to give the table a focal point and create a little bit of balance.

Another area of the home that needed some extra attention was the large kitchen island, as it would be the location for the food display. And although you can’t see it in this picture, the island has a large sink in it. While we didn’t need to completely hide the sink, we thought it would be good to distract from the sink a bit, so guests wouldn’t notice it as they helped themselves to food.

Once the food display was completely set-up by expert caterers Food Glorious Food, the kitchen island was completely transformed.

There were several more floral pieces and candlescapes throughout the home, but you get the idea. A simple yet substantial transformation.
*mouth hanging open* The food looks SO GOOD!
Wow, what a difference a few flowers make! This is amazing. If I ever throw a party in Texas, I know who to come to. Beautiful job Kimberly.
